The Buffalo Interpretive Center is 5 mi. e. at 29349 SR 1806. Maintained by the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe, the center comprises more than 3,700 square feet and houses interactive exhibits imparting the history of the buffalo, its importance in Native American culture and its relationship with Native American tribes. Visitors may observe buffalo herds on an adjacent pasture, one of three totaling some 6,200 acres which the tribe keeps.
