Fort Sisseton Historic State Park is 7 mi. w. on SR 10, then 6 mi. s., following signs. The 198-acre site, consisting of 14 well-preserved stone fort buildings and breastworks, was built in 1864 and served as an active military post until 1889.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
