1880 Town is 20 mi. w., just off I-90 exit 170. The complex comprises furnished Western town buildings, including a livery, jail, saloon, bank, jewelry store, barbershop, town hall, railroad depot, blacksmith shop, log cabin, church, hotel, schoolhouse, post office and a 14-sided barn. Props from the movie “Dances With Wolves” are displayed. The museum exhibits focus on the theme of the vanishing prairie. Western clothing is available for visitors to wear while touring the town.

Food, served in an authentic 1950s Santa Fe rail dining car, is available Memorial Day-Labor Day.
