This resort is located just a short ride by ferry across Basseterre Bay from the nearby island of St. Kitts. "Plantation elegant" is how some describe the décor in these spacious units. The resort has an outstanding reputation among celebrities; it's not uncommon for the rich and famous to be guests here. All guests have their choice of two dining rooms for dinner, poolside dining at lunch and a buffet breakfast each morning as well as 24-hour room service. The resort caters to all guests' needs, including the business traveler needing full meeting facilities and an up-to-date business center. For those requiring even more space, the resort offers 40 fully equipped villas, each with a golf course view. The spa blends in well with its natural surroundings, and the treatment rooms are housed in individual traditional-style chattel houses. Guest may choose from three different pools for their lounging pleasure; one is more tranquil and another is ideal for families with children. Meets AAA guest room security requirements. Smoke free premises. 236 units, some houses. 1-2 stories (no elevator), exterior corridors.

Pros: Four Seasons Nevis is a special place. The staff here is spectacular - guests are treated on an individual basis every single day. Almost everyone seems to know your name, Special needs, such as dietary requests, or an injury, is shared by all appropriate staff. Everybody from top management down wants to know, "How are you enjoying your stay? What can we do to make it even better?" There is a major renovation planned (in stages so property won't be closed, which we feel is VERY important for the local economy). The upgrading will be welcome, after 26 years of operation. Bringing a fresh feel to the main lobby and also room environments especially will bring even more sparkle to this special place. We had a terrific time (4/17) and look forward to going back.
Cons: The rooms need to be modernized and "spiffed" up. Old and heavy dark wood furniture and spotty cracked floor tiles evoke a "tired," somewhat neglected feel. Balcony and rooms could be better maintained on a daily basis, i.e., nor just changing linens and towels, but also dusting furniture surfaces once room is occupied, monitoring bird doo on balcony, etc.

Pros: The staff was exceptional. In particular, one person, Estellita Clarke, was one of the most helpful, kind, and attentive people we've ever known. She is indeed special.
Cons: Food was not particularly good and decorating was not up to Four Seasons standards elsewhere

Cons: Staff was excellent, with the exception of one woman who was trying to process my payment at the concierge desk - she was rude to me, and rude to my mom, with whom she spoke over the phone. I don't know why she was being that way. She locked us out of our room, unannounced, one day during our stay, because she wouldn't run my mom's visa without a signed form from her, even though there was no indication from ANYONE that I needed the form before this. We were stuck outside of our room without our belongings for at least an hour, in our wet bathing suits. My boyfriend went to the concierge once before I came with him, to get our key reactivated, and they told him they did it, but he came back and it still didn't work. I found this way out of line for them to do this to us without warning, but to have the woman be so condescending and dismissive when we tried to sort out the problem was really unfair.
