AAA Inspector Notes
This hotel is centered around a historic train terminal and rail yard. To get the best experience choose one of the rooms in the restored old railcars instead of a traditional room. Here you also will find landscaped courtyards, boutique gift shops and casual restaurants, as well as the famous Chattanooga Choo-Choo locomotive and a restored old New Orleans trolley car. The location is convenient for accessing other local attractions as the downtown electric shuttle stops here. Smoke free premises. 193 units. 1-5 stories, interior/exterior corridors. Pros: The bed was super comfy. Staying in a train car was awesome! Loved the indoor pool!
Cons: I really would have liked a microwave in the room. The bathroom could use some minor renovations.

Pros: The setting was VERY unique with the extensive gardens and interior of the train station being at the top of that list. Close to all tourist attractions plus the Bluff View district.
Cons: Rooms need refreshed. They were very cool just need updated a bit. Not modernized but better use of the space with updated appliances/carpet/tile--bathroom especially--would be my recommendation.

Pros:
Cons: Facility needs to be updated. I liked it better when the restaurant was inside the hotel. The gardens appeared bare. The lights in the garden that were strung through the trees were only lit up on some of the trees. The water features in the gardens were the same...some worked while others didn't. Even the pool area seemed dismal. There used to be water flowing (like a waterfall) and even that was gone, or down. This is my 3rd trip staying here over a 20 year period, and this was disappointing. Too many noticeable differences...not in a good way. I used to love coming to this place. The room rates are too high for these accommodations.
