Museum of East Tennessee History is downtown at 601 S. Gay St. in the East Tennessee History Center. The museum is dedicated to researching, preserving, interpreting and presenting the region's history and culture through permanent and temporary exhibits. The Voices of the Land exhibit explores three centuries of life and culture in the area. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$5; $4 (ages 55+); free (ages 0-16).
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9-4, Sat. 10-4, Sun. 1-5. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
