Withers Collection Museum & Gallery is at 333 Beale St. Displayed are photographs from renowned photojournalist and Memphis native Ernest C. Withers. The museum's collection offers an intimate look at key figures and events of the Civil Rights Movement including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Memphis sanitation workers strike. Also featured are photographs of Beale Street musicians, Negro League baseball players and early performances of Elvis Presley, B.B. King and Aretha Franklin. Guided tours are available. Food is available.
$10; $7 (ages 62+ and students with ID); free (ages 0-11 with adult).
