Edwin and Percy Warner Parks are 9 mi. s.w. via US 70S and SR 100. Encompassing over 3,100 acres of rugged hills, hollows, meadows and fields, the two parks, known collectively as The Warner Parks, are a wildlife sanctuary. A nature center features a natural history museum, an organic garden, a wildflower garden and several nature trails of varying lengths and difficulties. There are also athletic fields and two golf courses. Scenic drives and trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding can be traveled; horse rentals are not available. Picnic facilities include shelters and tables. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
Hours: Parks open daily dawn-11 p.m. Nature center open Tues.-Sat. 9-4; closed major holidays.
