Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is 2 mi. e. off I-65 exit 78A (Harding Pl.), then just n. to 3777 Nolensville Pike. The 180-acre zoo features global wildlife, including African elephants, white rhinoceros, spider monkeys, Bengal tigers, Eurasian lynx, hyacinth macaws, red river hogs and African crested porcupines. A giant anaconda and poison arrow frogs are among the creatures in the Unseen New World exhibit area. Historic home tours, carousel rides, a seated zipline experience and a 66,000-square-foot play area for children also are on-site. Rental strollers are available. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
