Lenoir Museum is 1 mi. s. of Norris Dam on US 441 to 2121 Norris Frwy. The museum is in a wooded area with a small creek. Operated as part of Norris Dam State Park, the “touch museum” displays memorabilia collected from east Tennessee. An unusual mousetrap collection and a restored country store are featured. An 18th-century gristmill and threshing barn operate below the museum. Exhibits include rifles, fossils, pottery, bells, arrowheads, Confederate scrip and Civil War newspapers. Of interest is the antique barrel organ.
