Historic. The restaurant and tavern bears the name of the man who built the inn in 1824, John A. McKinney. The historic surroundings create a very comfortable space, with original wood floors and period furnishings. The menu offers a variety of popular items such as fried crawfish tails, kale salad, assorted burgers and tacos for lunch. For dinner, the offerings are a bit more complex; scampi and blackened mahi mahi are two options. Be sure to check the weekly blue plate specials at lunch.
