Historic Collinsville is at 4711 Weakley Rd. On 40 acres, the log pioneer settlement, which depicts life from the 1830s through the 1870s, encompasses 18 restored buildings appointed with period furnishings. The 1870s Dogtrot House features the baby tender from the Sterling, Mass., home of Sarah Hale, who wrote “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” The Irby-Bumpus Wildlife and Native American Center houses a collection of prehistoric Native American artifacts and local wildlife in lifelike poses.
