Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge is e. on Belton Lane to FM 562, s. to Whites Ranch Road (FM 1985), then 4 mi. e. The 34,000-acre coastal marsh refuge is important for waterfowl and other migrating birds. Wildlife watching, fishing, hunting, photography and educational programs are available.

Hours: Public use areas daily 1 hour before dawn-1 hour after dusk. Designated areas daily 24 hours.
