LBJ Presidential Library is at 2313 Red River St. on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Papers of the Johnson presidency are preserved at the complex, which also includes sculptures of President and Mrs. Johnson, interactive exhibits featuring historic films and telephone recordings, gifts from foreign heads of state, Johnson's 1968 Lincoln limousine, a collection of American political memorabilia and changing displays depicting American history. Displays chronicle Johnson's life, from his boyhood along the Pedernales River to his retirement at his ranch. A 7/8-scale replica allows visitors to enter the Oval Office of Johnson's administration (1963-69). An 11-minute multimedia program about Johnson's life is shown throughout the day. The First Lady's Gallery highlights Lady Bird Johnson's life from the time she met Lyndon Johnson to her death in 2007. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
