McKinney Falls State Park is at 5808 McKinney Falls Pkwy. The 726-acre park has 10 miles of well-marked trails, including a 2.8-mile paved stretch for bicycling. Sights along the trails include waterfalls, the remains of original owner Thomas McKinney's homestead and gristmill, and the ruins of McKinney's horse trainer's cabin.
For day-trippers there are numerous picnic sites; for overnight visitors there are 81 campsites, all of which have hookups.
Note: The visitor center, paved bike trail, some hiking trails and swimming area are closed due to flood damage in 2013; phone for updates.
