AAA Editor Notes
Neill-Cochran House Museum is at 2310 San Gabriel St. The furniture in this restored 1855 Greek Revival house reflects 19th- and early 20th-century eclectic tastes. Designed by architect/master builder Abner Cook, who also designed the Texas Governor's mansion, the building has been a private residence, a hospital for Union soldiers during Reconstruction, and the first home of the Texas Institute for the Blind.
