Pros: Clean, spacious rooms, especially large bathroom. Small closet but adequate. Staff were friendly and courteous. The staff informed us that the facility will undergo a major renovation soon. We live near by in the '90's and observed the construction of this hotel. It is time for a renovation and upgrade.
Cons: We prefer breakfast items not included in the continental offered by this hotel; we arrived prepared and handled breakfast with the in room refrigerator. Guests in at least three rooms on our floor brought their dogs, during two of the four nights of our stay. One night for a couple of hours, it felt like we were staying in a dog kennel. One room was occupied for two nights by at least two small dogs who had been left in the room while the humans went to dinner. Unfortunately, they barked every time a guest went down the hall. We love dogs and cats, but wish we could have been offered a room on another floor far from the barking dogs. At check out the desk clerk apologized for the trouble and deducted $50 from our bill. Two exterior security doors that should lock when closed after entry, did not close completely and therefore, were not locking to secure the guests or staff. This issue was reported on the first night of our four night stay and was NOT fixed when we checked out. I got the impression that the door locks will not be repaired any time soon. We were told by the desk clerk that the WiFi is not secure.
