Pros: The property is gorgeous! The rooms are being updated as is the outside of the hotel. The staff excellent with expected Texas hospitality!
Cons: Our room was beautifully appointed but the bathroom not quite finished with details yet. Still needed some final fixes to be 100%. I felt for the price and the 100.00 pet fee........I'd have drinks there but not stay there again until they are DONE. The noise level in the Cafe with the construction was frightful, huge chunks of concrete were being dropped while we had our breakfast..........ugh.

Pros: The ambiance is classic and history is charming. Location is ideal. Walking distance to some many amazing sites, activities and restaurants. Cafe and bar are fabulous. Rooms are small but beds were so comfortable. Only 15 minute drive to airport. Newer updated portion of the hotel is clean but not an exact match to classic original portion of hotel. Still loved it.
Cons: Had to wait 20 minutes for Taxi to airport at 5 am. Was told it took only 5 minutes for a taxi. Be mindful of times and account for delays. Grateful valet was able to flag down a taxi around the corner to get us to the airport.

Pros: Liked nostalgia and history. Location was good.
Cons: Bedroom too small. Bathroom not clean. When I see hair on bathroom floor I want to throw up. Tells me the bathrooms not cleaned after last customer. :(
