To be clear the draw here is the food, but for me the space and service felt as if I was having a special meal with no fussiness or pretentiousness.
AAA Inspector Notes
Located across from the Arboretum, this eatery specializes in smoked meats and presents them alongside house crafted sauces and seasonings. Served by the pound, you can choose from brisket, sausage, turkey and pulled pork as well as select from entrées like St. Louis ribs. If this sounds like a barbecue place, it isn't. You can also dine on airline chicken, beet salad, market fresh fish and seasonal dishes. The farmhouse modern dining room imbues warmth and ensures a memorable meal. Those that imbibe should be happy with the signature cocktails, long list of craft beers and varied wine list. When weather permits, the patio should be sought out, as its size and inviting design will enhance any meal.
