Open for more than 20 years, this West End steakhouse is a perfect break during a visit to nearby historical landmarks, museums and attractions. The menu centers on steaks and wild game from the Hill Country, but you may find dishes such as chile rubbed salmon, pan-griddled oysters and mac 'n cheese. Lunch allows for lighter meals with a selection of burgers and sandwiches, too. The lodge like interior is memorable for a nice dinner but still feels casual at lunch.
