Franklin Mountains State Park is off I-10 exit 6 (Canutillo), then 3.5 mi. e. on Transmountain Rd. (Loop 375). This park within El Paso city limits protects more than 26,000 acres of the Franklin Mountains range and is home to mule deer, cougars, golden eagles and Chihuahuan Desert plants. More than 100 miles of multiuse trails are open to hikers and mountain bikers.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
