AAA Inspector Notes
Platia means "town center", and had I not been looking at the mega-mall across the way, I may have believed I was at one in Greece. The dining room's rustic furniture, faux-finish walls and home-grown music nicely re-create a small Grecian eatery. Dolmas, gyros, moussakas, souvlaki and pita sandwiches can all be enjoyed. Desserts go way beyond baklava and can be picked up from the pastry case at the entry or enjoyed with a traditional Greek coffee. It's popularity means very busy dinner hours. This is a family-run operation started by two sisters who wanted to continue a tradition their father started in Chicago.
