Lone Star Flight Museum is .8 mi. n. of Seawall Blvd. on 83rd St. to the entrance of Galveston International Airport, following signs to 2002 Terminal Dr. Home of the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, this museum details the history of aviation through exhibits of more than 25 restored aircraft as well as aviation artifacts and memorabilia. The impressive collection includes a P-47 Thunderbolt, an F4U Corsair, an F6F Hellcat, a B-25 Mitchell and a B-17 Flying Fortress. Flight experiences are offered aboard several aircraft. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$10; $8 (ages 5-17 and 65+).
