1940 Air Terminal Museum is at 8325 Travelair St. on the west side of William P. Hobby Airport. Housed in an Art Deco building that was once the airport terminal, the museum displays model aircraft, flight uniforms, photos, documents and other memorabilia pertaining to aviation history. Guided tours of the restored 1928 Carter Airmail Hangar are offered. During the monthly Wings and Wheels open house, both aircraft and automobiles are on display. The museum's parking lot is a good place to watch planes take off and land.
Guided tours are available.
