AAA Editor Notes
The Heritage Society is at 1100 Bagby St. in Sam Houston Park. This outdoor museum features 10 historic buildings, a general store and a museum gallery. Buildings include the 1847 Kellum-Noble House, believed to be Houston's oldest brick house; the San Felipe Cottage, a German immigrant cottage of the 1860s; and the 1823 Old Place, a rough-hewn wooden frame cabin originally built on the banks of Clear Creek. Cell phone tours are available.

Guided tours are available.

Gallery $5, $2 (ages 6-18). Guided tour (includes galley entry) $15; $12 (ages 65+); $6 (ages 6-18).
Hours
Park daily dawn-dusk. Tues.-Sat. 10-4. Guided tours are given Thurs.-Sat. at 10, 11:30, 1 and 2:30. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
