The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is at 1001 Bissonnet St. between S. Main and Montrose Blvd. More than 63,000 art objects are contained in the museum's permanent collection. The Caroline Wiess Law Building houses an African gold collection, pre-Columbian and Asian art and modern and contemporary works. The Audrey Jones Beck Building, 5601 Main St., features European art from antiquity to 1920 and American art through 1945. The museum's decorative arts collections are housed at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens and Rienzi.

Guided tours are available. Food is available.

$15; $10 (ages 65+ and military with ID); $7.50 (ages 13-18 and college students with ID); free (ages 0-12 and to all Thurs.). Sculpture garden free.
$6 (with museum admission).
Tues.-Wed. and Mon. holidays 10-5, Thurs. 10-9, Fri.-Sat. 10-7, Sun. 12:15-7. Sculpture garden daily 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 2 hours minimum.
