Catering to nearby Rice University, the small, quiet restaurant sets up afternoon buffets with a variety of selections. The twin metal cups on the tables are a traditional symbol of welcome and good fortune from the homeland. A favorite is the sharp yogurt dressing for the traditional cucumber salad. The dining room is washed in pink and a traditional tandoori oven is in view where fresh hot naan is made. Loads of vegetarian dishes are offered. They do close just after lunch service and reopen again later in the afternoon for dinner service. The buffet is only available during the lunch hours.
