Jefferson Historical Museum is at 223 W. Austin St. in the 1890 Federal Building. The museum depicts the life, industry and transportation of early East Texas. A collection of antique dolls from more than 20 countries is displayed. A replica 1900s train depot is located behind the museum and houses the R. D. Moses Texas and Pacific model railroad.

Hours: Daily 9:30-4:30. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
