Pros: The rooms were well appointed, beds were extremely comfortable, everything clean, staff quick and professional, bell service outstanding, security diligent and watchful. Pleasant stay overall. I would recommend to friends and family and in fact will be staying here again, my third visit this year. Did I mention that The Overton is very attractive with a high-end Texana decor, a melt in your mouth bakery and coffee bar, and a restaurant with a creative young chef? Well this is The best place to stay and linger when in Lubbock and it is only a few blocks away from The University if you are coming to visit your little genius or watch a football game.
Cons: Though I rarely drink I sometimes like a nightcap when travelling. The lobby bar is a bit small which warded me off since it was very full with no seats when I passed. Since this is one the better places for adults in the area, may I suggest an expansion and a piano bar. I think this touch of class would be welcomed by your frequent guests and be an asset to draw patrons already dining at your excellent restaurant for an after dinner drink.
