Heritage Farmstead is 1.2 mi. w. off US 75 exit 29 (FM 544) to 1900 W. 15th St. On the grounds of this 4-acre microcosm of early Texas farm life are a furnished late Victorian farmhouse and 12 outbuildings including a curing shed, a one-room schoolhouse and a windmill. The farmstead is furnished with period artifacts, including tools and vehicles. Guided tours of the grounds and certain buildings are available. Guided tours are available.
Self-guiding grounds tours $3; free (ages 0-2). Guided tours $7; $5 (ages 5-18 and students with ID).
Hours: Self-guiding grounds tours Tues.-Sun. 10-4:30. Guided tours Tues.-Sat. at 10:30, Sun. at 1:30, June-Aug.; Tues.-Sun. at 1:30, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Good Friday, Easter, July 3-4, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and Dec. 31.
