Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center is s. on Cut-Off Rd. to the end of Ross Ave. Home to hundreds of resident and visiting birds, such as roseate spoonbills, least grebes, crested caracara and rails, this center includes four designated sites on the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. Boardwalks at two birding centers and an observation tower allow visitors to see more than 100 native Texas plant species, as well as wildlife including turtles, nutria and alligators.
