AAA Editor Notes
Port Isabel Historical Museum is opposite the lighthouse at 317 Railroad Ave. in the Champion Bldg. in the Museums of Port Isabel complex. The museum, which includes a multilevel exhibit area and a theater, commemorates the history of the Port Isabel area. Displays depict Native American culture, Spanish exploration, the Mexican War, the Civil War, fishing and maritime history and border folklore. American, Mexican and Texas history also are highlighted.

$4; $3 (ages 55+); $2 (ages 5-17 and students with ID). Combination ticket with Port Isabel Lighthouse and Treasures of the Gulf Museum $9; $7 (ages 55+); $4 (ages 5-17 and students with ID).
Hours
Tues.-Sat. 9-5, June 1-Labor Day; 10-4, rest of year. Last admission 30 minutes before closing. Closed major holidays. Allow 2 hours minimum.
