Casa Navarro State Historic Site

Casa Navarro State Historic Site is at 228 S. Laredo St. This 2-acre complex in downtown San Antonio was the home of statesman José Antonio Navarro, a central figure in the formation of Texas. A signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence, Navarro served in the legislatures of Mexico, Texas and the United States. The complex features multisensory exhibits; “Laredito,” a mural by renowned artist Jesse Treviño; and an urban garden.
