River Bend Nature Center

River Bend Nature Center, 2200 3rd St., features 20 acres of wetlands and forests teeming with birds and other wildlife. Visitors can explore trails, a children's garden and a conservatory housing plants, butterflies, prairie dogs and turtles. A learning center with animal exhibits, a resource library and a pavilion also are on the grounds.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
