This amazing resort has stunning grounds with a Versailles-style garden by the pool. Starting with the lovely Hartford wing and going upward in glory from there, 24-hour butler service is included. Guests enjoy complimentary use of the recreational facilities at Atlantis Paradise Island. Smoke free premises. 107 units, some houses and cottages. 1-2 stories (no elevator), exterior corridors.

Pros: The property was stunning, the staff were always welcoming and available for every need at a moment notice, the spa treatments were excellent, the pool was awesome, food was high quality. And the switcha - oh my!! So delicious.
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer. And they ran out of desert for room service one evening.

Pros: There was no music at all at the Versailles pool area. Pure quiet except for beautiful natural sounds. Truely relaxing. Please do not change that. Very few resorts/hotels allow for quiet at the pools.
Cons: At the Dune bar the same music was constantly playing. There was very little variety and it was way,way too loud for conversation. Keep music in the background unless it's the reason for your night out. It doesn't have to dominate.

Pros: - The location is awesome - They have 3 pools (1 family pool, one big pool, and one ocean view pool) - Spa service available - You can use an app called "Alice" to order /book hotel service - They have a "deal" with the Atlantis hotel: You will be able to visit e.g. the water park at the Atlantis - Champagne and Strawberries complementary - Chauffeur service for nearby destinations complementary - If you get a good "butler" like we did one day they can perform miracles: After an accident at the nearby water park I had lost one of my contacts and did not have a backup. After speaking to our butler Ramesh asking him for help and after a couple of hours he presented me new contact lenses! Amazing! Exactly this kind of service makes hotel guests very happy and satisfied.
Cons: - We like our privacy that's why we would enjoy all of the breakfasts in our room. A strange thing we found was: not only had we to call the "butler" almost every night to get a new breakfast menu (that one had to fill out and leave on the outside door hanger at night) but also, once we received a stock of 3,4 menus and left them at our room, after the cleaning lady was in there the menus were gone (what the heck?). Another strange thing that we would not notice right away but then frequently: we did not exactly get served what we had ordered. E.g. once we got 2 plates of potatoes, which we did not order. Also the hotel offered around 5 breakfasts types (American, English, Healthy,..), but in the end they would mostly deliver the same despite of what you had ordered (with dishes being ignored or added randomly). This gave us the impression that they do not have a big variety on dishes, but pretended to have all.- We were not amazed by the service overall. First the friendliness of most personnel (not all!) was surprisingly low (for that kind of resort we would have expected a lot more!). Secondly the personnel was not reliable, examples: we ordered once breakfast menus from our "butler", he forgot about it and we had to call a couple of hours later again in order to receive it; In order to receive the free champagne and strawberries you had to call your "butler" and order it. Once we waited more than an hour for it, and only after our second call it was delivered; The first day we had ordered breakfast, which was simply forgotten and only after our complaint call it was delivered; We always had the feeling with all personnel that gratuity was expected which made us feel uncomfortable (as the Bahamas is not the US the gratuity "rules" are a bit different). We even felt that if we would leave some tip for the room cleaning lady the service overall improved a lot.
