President Andrew Johnson Museum and Library, on Gilland St. on the Tusculum College campus, contains approximately 100 items, including Johnson's top hat, political memorabilia and a copy of one of Abraham Lincoln's life masks. Johnson was a trustee of the college 1844-75. A student-created exhibit, “Reaper: Nettie Fowler McCormick and the Machine that Built Tusculum College,” explores the impact of the mechanical harvest machine that built the McCormick fortune, and the contributions of philanthropist Nettie McCormick. In the library are more than 1,300 volumes that belonged to Tusculum's predecessor, Greeneville College, before their merger.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
