Fire Museum of Memphis is at 118 Adams Ave. Housed in the 1910 Fire Engine House No. 1, the museum is filled with interactive exhibits and displays of historic firefighting equipment, including early 20th-century fire trucks and a horse-drawn steam fire engine. Toys on Fire displays nearly 1,000 firefighting toys and collectibles, and an animatronic firehouse horse describes how fires were fought in years past. The virtual reality Fire Room lets visitors experience a simulated residential fire. The Memorial Wall commemorates fallen firefighters.
