Utah Olympic Park, 3419 Olympic Pkwy., served as the 2002 Olympic Winter Games venue for bobsled, skeleton, luge and Nordic ski jumping. National and international competitions are held at the 389-acre park, and athletes train here year-round. Self-guiding tours include Olympic competition sites, a ski museum and a museum devoted to the 2002 games. A guided bus tour also includes access to the ski jump and bobsled track. Depending on the season, visitors can see freestyle aerial shows and experience ziplines, adventure ropes courses, a drop tower, an alpine slide and bobsled rides. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Park and self-guiding tour free. Guided tour $10; $5 (ages 3-12 and 65+). Other activities are an additional fee; phone for schedules, rates and reservations.
Hours: Daily 10-6. Guided tours are given daily on the hour 11-3, June 1-Labor Day; at 11, 1 and 3, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
