Temple Square is bounded by North Temple, South Temple, West Temple and Main sts. This 35-acre, three-block area contains the most prominent buildings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Seagull Monument and several other memorials and statues, including the Handcart Monument. The 1877 Gothic-style Assembly Hall is the site of free 60-minute concerts; phone ahead for schedule.
Free. Under 8 are not permitted at Assembly Hall concerts.
Hours: Grounds 9-9. Guided 30-minute tours of the square begin at the north and south gates every 15 minutes daily 9:15-8:15; hours vary for tours on Jan. 1, Mormon Conference days (first Sun. in Apr. and Oct.), Thanksgiving and Christmas.
