Tracy Aviary is at 589 East 1300 South in the s.w. corner of Liberty Park; access is via the park's north entrance off 900 South at 600 East. One of the world's oldest public aviaries, it was founded in 1938 by banker Russell Tracy. More than 400 birds from around the world can be seen, including more than 135 species (many endangered). Programs featuring free-flying birds entertain guests during several shows daily, as keepers explain how these creatures live.
Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
