Location was good, the lobby...
Pros:
Cons: The bedroom window had a gossamer curtain, but nothing to actually block out the city street lights. I couldn't sleep.

This could be a great,...
Pros: Stayed here last week for a couple of days. The room was nice and clean, the bed comfortable. Free parking right on site. There's a decent looking swimming pool inside. The location is pretty close to Temple Square and other points of interest. Having a couple of restaurants (P.F. Chang, etc) right around the corner is very convenient. The breakfast was good, with a pretty standard selection compared to similar hotels.Overall, the rate you pay is very appropriate for what you get. This would've been a relaxing stay if it weren't for an unpleasant incident.Saturday night we had us some very noisy neighbors next door. Like all hotels of this caliber, walls are very thin. The party animals next door were raising quite a ruckus at 1am and on. Unable to sleep, I went to the front desk and asked the gentleman on shift to deal with the noisy situation. The noise didn't subside one bit. So I got up again, went back and told the same gentleman that whatever he did did not have any effect. Supposedly he called the room in question first, but this time he went and spoke to the noisy crowd. That didn't have an effect either. At 2:30am, still unable to sleep, I went back, but this time called SLC police. This is the first time EVER that I called cops over out-of-hand noise on a trip. I explained the situation to the officers, and at the sight of police uniforms the offenders very quickly came to senses and shut their loud mouths. Being told that you can get thrown out of the hotel at 3am for causing disturbance apparently instills tranquility. Pure magic... or our neighbors simply lacked manners. This incident shows that some staffers at this hotel just don't know how to deal with a situation like this and are unable to be assertive with unruly guests. It's not difficult to point out that boisterous partying belongs OUTSIDE the walls of a hotel. There are plenty of venues in downtown Salt Lake City to accommodate week-end "rebels".
