Pros: Comfortable bed and room
Cons: Most hotels, even Holiday Inn Express, now have Nespresso (or similar) coffee makers in room. None here...

Pros:
Cons: The staff were odd and too prying. Was asked why I was in a posh hotel! Was asked twice if I really wanted the king bed! In the morning the coffee was literally brown water... The room was nice looking but horrible view (looks right into someone's office). There was construction in the lobby. Wouldn't go back,

Pros: Small touches like iced coffee in the morning in the lobby, the wall mounted scrabble board that the children adored and the services in the restaurant for breakfast made our weekend stay at the Hotel Monaco fantastic. When our daughter left her (expensive) water bottle behind in the restaurant at breakfast the server called us and left a message so that we could retrieve it. Even the bottled water for sale in the room (Fred) was fun and had a touch of whimsy. I would return to this hotel next time we are in SLC.
