The room was nice. It had a fireplace which I didn't expect.
Cons: Some of the staff (day) seemed incompetent. I called twice about having a packaged delivered to the hotel. First time was a week prior to confirm they could, they said yes and went over procedure and they said they'd put a note on my account. Then I called the morning of to remind them and they reconfirmed and I also let them know we would be checking in around 10pm their time. When we arrived, thankfully my package was there but they did not have any notes that they should expect one for me. AND they didn't have our room ready. So at 10:30 at night (12:30am my time zone) they didn't have the room ready. Despite being tired and exhausted I didn't get rude or nasty or say some choice words that I was thinking. It wasn't her fault. After some rearranging and apologizing they found us a room. And I open the door to find guests in that room. They've been there all day. Thankfully they were just watching TV! So back to the front desk and some more searching and apologizing and what not we got our room. But first they sent staff up to make sure it was ready and vacant. All in all I think it took about 45 mins from walking into the lobby to getting the real room. The night staff was very nice. It sounded like all evening they were dealing with issues caused by the day staff. They did not complain in front of me. They thought I was gone but I just stepped out of sight.
All of this really makes me question management.

Only one bedside table, so no light for one person to read, no place for a handkerchief or book but the ground.
I think we were actually in a single room instead of a double.
We found some candy's from the previous people in a corner. also the stairs weren't very clean.
At the time we booked the room (january 2017), parking was free. They changed it a few months later, so we had to pay 10 dollars a night. If i had known that I would have parked on the street, there was plenty of space to park.

It's about a mile from City Creek and Temple Square and about 1/2 mile from a Trax stop in the free zone that can take you downtown if you don't want to walk like we did. Very happy overall.

Pros: The hotel was fantastically clean and spacious. Had a comfy king bed. The room was an appartment so had cooking facilities. Our room had a balcony which we sat out on. Excellent value. A hot breakfast was also included in the price. I wish we had time to stay longet. Wifi and free parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous second time say- Will...
Pros: This is my second time saying at the Residence Inn and I absolutely love it. The staff are so accommodating and friendly, it really makes a difference when you feel welcome.
I travelled alone, and 28 weeks pregnant this time and the staff went out of their way to make me feel at home.
The pool is wonderful, it's very close to lots of great restaurants and I Love the range of options available for breakfast! There is lots to choose from.
Will definitely be staying here again next year.
Cons: It was just a little crowded and busy in the breakfast area but no biggie as everyone needs to get off to work at the same time so it's understandable.
