Pros: Everything! Very classy place for the price. We were on a 19 day road trip and this was my favorite of all the places we stayed.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Great location, the female staff was very professional and the rooms were spotlessly clean.
Cons: There is really no place to park when you pull into the hotel, the only three parking spaces possible for persons checking in were not available, and no one was at the front entrance to direct you where to go or park to get checked in. No valet to meet you, take any bags or offer help at the entrance. There is a lot of traffic on the street very close to the front door, and large homeless population so you wouldn't leave your bags sitting at the front with no one to watch them and you are left having to find parking, or drive into the garage and then carry all your bags back down through the parking structure to the lobby to check-in. This lack of hospitality is very apparent the longer the stay. I was told (by a male desk clerk) that I had to go down to the front desk to get plastic silverware at 10pm. When I got there, a young girl said she would have sent them up to me. But the other clerk said I had to come down for them. Each time I went by the lobby, there was a big guy leaning over a pulpit like stand near the entrance with his face buried in his phone, and all I ever saw him do was glance up to say hello to people as they walked by. Never once asking or offering any help to anyone the three days I was there. Once a couple of older ladies were asking for directions or help of some kind and were clearly not getting the assistance they needed. The hospitality was seriously poor. The gift shop with toiletries, drinks and snacks closes early and the soda /water machine in the hallway on our floor didn't work we found after investing plenty of coins into it. I really felt like the maid was the only one really doing her job and a darn good job of it. It's not my first choice for a hotel, even with its great location, just not worth the price with careless staff.

Pros: This isn't my first time in SLC or staying in this hotel. I will continue to choose The Plaza hotel for as many trips as I'm able that I make to Salt Lake City. We had 4 people in our room and had enough space to move around and keep our bags from being on top of one another. The view was amazing. The location was across the street from our venue so it was incredibly convienent. The UTA Trax system also runs direct from the airport to outside the hotel entrance, for only $2.50!!
