Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery, 40 mi. n.e. via SR 44 and Jones Hole Rd., raises trout for Utah, Wyoming and Colorado streams, lakes and reservoirs. Indoor hatching pools and outdoor ponds contain trout in various stages of growth. Rainbow trout account for the majority of the stocked fish, but cutthroat, brook and brown trout also are raised.
A trout stream emerges from a hole in the canyon wall nearby, joining the Green River 3.5 miles downstream. A hiking trail connects the hatchery and the river.
