Uintah County Heritage Museum, 155 E. Main St., has memorabilia from Uintah County and the Uintah Basin. Exhibits depict the lives of the pioneers, particularly early settlers, miners and soldiers. The museum also features one of the largest collections of Fremont and Ute Indian artifacts. Displays include the First Ladies of the White House Doll Exhibit, a mounted wildlife exhibit, an outdoor display of horse-drawn equipment and monthly fine art exhibits. Also on-site are an amphitheater, an arena, an equestrian complex, a convention center and an indoor ice rink. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Hours: Mon.-Thurs. 9-7:30, Fri. 9-6, Sat. 10-4, June-Aug.; Mon.-Fri. 9-6, Sat. 10-4, rest of year. Closed major holidays.
