Uintah County Heritage Museum, 155 E. Main St., displays memorabilia from Uintah County and the Uintah Basin. Exhibits depict the lives of early settlers, miners and soldiers. There is also a large collection of Fremont and Ute Indian artifacts, the First Ladies of the White House Doll Exhibit, a mounted wildlife exhibit and an outdoor display of horse-drawn equipment. Fine arts exhibits change monthly. Also on site are an amphitheater, an arena, an equestrian complex and an indoor ice rink. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.

Hours: Mon.-Thurs. 9-7:30, Fri. 9-6, Sat. 10-4, June-Aug.; Mon.-Fri. 9-6, Sat. 10-4, rest of year. Closed major holidays.
