Angels Landing Trail

Angels Landing Trail is accessible from the Grotto Picnic Area in Zion National Park. The steep 2.5-mile climb to the top of Angels Landing offers spectacular views of the canyon.

Note: While portions of the route are paved, the trail is not recommended for those afraid of heights or for young children. The last half-mile of the trail to the summit is strenuous and involves traveling along a narrow ridge flanked by dizzying drop-offs. Support chains are anchored intermittently along the route. Footing can be slippery even when the rock is dry.
