AAA Editor Notes
National Capital Radio & Television Museum is 1.3 mi. s. of US 50 on SR 197, then 1.5 mi. w. to jct. Mitchellville and Mt. Oak rds. A docent leads visitors on a 1-hour tour through the museum, which offers a collection of vintage radios and televisions as well as broadcasting memorabilia and equipment.

Some of the first radios ever made are on display, from inventor Guglielmo Marconi's earliest wireless telegraph to primitive crystal sets from the 1920s. Early television receivers are showcased on the ground floor.

Temporary exhibits also are available. Children's educational programs are offered by reservation.

Guided tours are available.
