National Museum of the Marine Corps is adjacent to the Quantico Marine Corps Base in Triangle, just off I-95. The building's stunning design captivates visitors as they enter by way of the Leatherneck Gallery, where aircraft&#8212;including a restored SBD Dauntless dive bomber from World War II and a Vietnam-era Sikorsky UH-34D helicopter&#8212;hang from the ceiling. Adjacent to the gallery, the Legacy Walk contains a timeline and leads to areas depicting various actions in which the Marines have been involved.</br>Visitors learn about Marines in boot camp, World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars. Also discussed is the role of the Marines in the global war on terrorism.</br>Guided tours are available. Food is available. </br>

Hours: Daily 9-5. Guided tours depart daily at 10 and 2 (based on staff availability). Closed Christmas. Allow 4 hours minimum.
