Vermont History Museum, in the Pavilion Building at 109 State St., houses the permanent exhibit Freedom and Unity, which explores the history of Vermont from 1600 to the present. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
(includes Vermont History Center and Heritage Galleries in Barre) $7; $5 (ages 6-17, ages 62+ and students with ID); $20 (family).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-4. Closed state and federal holidays.
